The Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (JICV) was first proposed in 2017 by the State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy in China to reflect the recent advances in research in the field of intelligent and connected vehicles. The first volume of JICV will publish in 2018.

Aims & scope

JICV publishes peer reviewed research articles, technology reviews and specially commissioned case studies. Each issue includes high quality content covering all aspects of intelligent and connected vehicles technology, and reflecting the most interesting and strategically important research and development activities from around the world. Because of this, readers can stay at the very forefront of industry developments.

The audience of this journal includes academics, researchers and engineers working in a wide range of industries related to intelligent and connected vehicles such as mechanical/automotive engineering, communication engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and computer and network science.

JICV will publish 3 issues per annum.

Peer review

JICV operates a double blind peer review model. All articles undergo an initial assessment by the journal editor. If they are considered suitable for peer review, articles will then be a reviewed by a minimum of two external reviewers to assess its suitability for publication. Final responsibility for editorial decisions rest with the journal editor.

All articles published in JICV are published Open Access under a CC BY 4.0 licence. For further information on licencing please see the author guidelines.

Publishing Services partnership

JICV is published by Emerald Publishing on behalf of the State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy. JICV is owned by the State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy. JICV is published under a platinum OA arrangement, in that all charges for publishing an OA article in JICV are funded by the State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy. There is no charge to the author.
