Call for papers for The 10th Canadian Quality Congress: September 24-25, 2018, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

The Technical Program Committee for the 10th Canadian Quality Congress is seeking papers on best practices and case study applications in all aspects of total quality management and business excellence, including but not limited to topics such as lean, six sigma, transformational leadership, change management, performance measurement and organizational excellence.

Healthcare quality and innovation topics are particularly welcome as a special feature of this year's conference. Emerald Publishing will publish selected papers from the conference in their health and social care journals.

Suggested areas of focus for Healthcare include but are not limited to:

•    Patient-centered healthcare leadership and innovation
•    Doctor-patient relationship
•    Application of quality improvement tools and techniques in hospital management
•    Wait time reduction
•    Cost reduction success stories
•    Changing culture to improve patient care
•    Ethics and quality
•    Patient flow through process management analysis
•    Reducing medication errors
•    Innovation in patient care and safety
•    Medication and surgery errors and how to prevent them

Papers can be submitted in one of three formats:

1.            Full paper: in a written text format, 15 pages maximum, Microsoft Word 2003 or later.
2.            PowerPoint format: Submit a one or two-pages (max) written summary of your presentation followed by Power Point slides.
3.            Poster presentation: Present your findings on a 4’ x 8’ poster.

The deadline to submit the first draft of any of the three formats is March 31, 2018.
The deadline to submit the final version of any of the three formats is April 30, 2018.
