Aims and Scope

Reference Reviews (RR) helps librarians and information professionals evaluate new and updated print and electronic reference resources and influence purchasing decisions for their library collections.
•Each in-depth review offers an unbiased appraisal by professionals and others with experience of the information world
•Each issue includes one or more articles focusing on reference resources
•We cover all subject areas with the emphasis on resources that are likely to be of value in an academic library setting, but also including those that will be of use in public and specialist libraries.

Call for Articles and Peer Reviewers

The journal is seeking article submissions that focus on reference source(s) as opposed to the reference process in all disciplines and subject areas. Sample article topics are:
• An overview or annotated bibliography of a particular format, type, or reference source subject area.
• A comparative review of two or more sources in a specific subject area.
• A comparative review of a reference source(s) in different formats.
• A viewpoint article about types or range of resources in a specific subject area.
• Any other type of article that focuses on a discussion of reference and information sources.
Articles typically average approximately 3,000 words and should be a minimum of 2,000 words.
In addition, Reference Reviews is expanding its Peer Review Board. Peer reviewers should currently be practicing or former librarians, information professionals, and/or subject specialists. Peer reviewers will review no more than one article per month. It is expected that those individuals interested in serving as peer reviewers will provide timely feedback and recommendations for those manuscripts being reviewed.
If you are interested in submitting a manuscript, serving as a peer reviewer, have questions, or would like further information, please contact Articles Editor: Michael LaMagna http://www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com/products/journals/editorial_team.htm?id=rr
