Aims & Scope

Marketing Intelligence & Planning (MIP) facilitates communication between researchers and practitioners, providing the users of research with a wealth of robust and relevant information. At a time when some journals are losing their relevance to industry and practical requirements, MIP successfully offers a bridge between academic and practitioner thinking, while retaining a high level of scientific rigour.

By analysing the relationship between the planning and implementation stages, the journal offers practical advantages to marketers aiming to sharpen their skills and give new impetus to marketing campaigns. Both academics and practitioners will gain from the wide perspectives on all stages of the marketing process.

"I have been on the Advisory Board of Marketing Intelligence and Planning for many years. I am also on the Advisory Boards of many other academic journals. I have seen the “scientific" quality of most journals increase over the years, but alas at the cost of managerial relevance. MIP, on the other hand, whilst also raising the scientific quality of its published papers, has not sacrificed relevance and I would attest to the fact that this particular journal makes a significant contribution to improving managerial practice.
