  • Use of subject collection pull-up banners at smaller conferences

  • ‘Your institution has access to…’ posters for display at customer institutions

  • Inclusion in #RealWorldResearch pages

  • Via an author retention and author acquisition programme

  • Via product and institutional marketing campaigns

Emerald uses a company and subject-discipline Twitter accounts, plus company Facebook and LinkedIn pages.  Emerald frequently purchases e-mail lists from external parties including associations and academic data providers.

Emerald also provides valuable Kudos and services for authors.

Ways in which editors can promote their journal are:

  • Engaging the EAB to solicit MSS and readers, when they are online and at conferences

  • Circulating ToCs to contacts/lists

  • Proposing ‘meet the editor’ and/or ‘how to get published’ sessions at conferences

  • Using social media to announce high-profile authors and/or hot-topic articles. See here for Twitter account guidelines
